Locust Lane Water Main On-Going

Woodmere Lane: Last week the contractor completed grading of the existing landscape and installed topsoil. The sod will not be installed until after September to allow for more favorable growing conditions. The contractor also completed the remaining underground utility repairs.

As part of the 2013 Roadway Resurfacing Project, the contractor excavated, formed, and poured the concrete curb & gutter around the cul-de-sac island and at Glenview Road.

The pavement removal and re-paving of the roadway should begin in the near future.

Locust Lane: Last week the contractor completed making the connection to the existing water main at Locust Lane and Country Lane. The contractor also installed the new water main along Locust Lane towards Crabtree Lane.

On Monday, July 22nd the contractor anticipates connecting the new water main to the existing water main at Locust Lane and Crabtree Lane. There will need to be a water main shut-down to perform this work. All affected residences will be notified 24-hours prior to the water main being turned off.

Next week, the contractor will complete the water main testing. This process typically takes approximately 1 week to complete. The contractor will also begin making other underground utility improvements including storm sewer installation. There might be days with no work on-site due to waiting on test results for the water main next week. Once the water main passes all required testing, water service installation will begin.

Thank you for your patience during the construction operations.
